Hello fellow film posters and welcome to what will likely be a strangely hopeful journey through the horror culture we all know and share interest in. A few words about why this felt so right.

Check out the world wide web for Christian discussion of the horror film. There's a trickle, but there should be a flood even if all we're counting is sales figures for the latest Tedd Dekker or Frank Peretti novel. Of course the truth is that Christian horror fans are anything but a dime a dozen. A quick survey of the crowd at almost any horror oriented fest, movie marathon, or convention finds a wide sampling of Christian beliefs and practices present and accounted for. So why is the web so quiet?

Let's face it. I have to ask myself as a fan, "Have I really done all I can to help my fellow believers out there stay focussed and edified as they travel through the darkness? The truth is I wonder if any of us can claim that. At this point I'm not even looking for a, "Well done good and faithful servant." from the Lord despite the fact that he's been unbelievably (literally!) gracious in opening doors for me to put on events, screen and discuss movies and acrue research materials.

You see I believe that not only are Christians out there but they are dicussing their interest in this genre- just not with each other.

So I hope this blog encourages us in good works, and healthy enjoyment of a type of storytelling and media experience that we have all claimed to have enjoyed and been encouraged by over the years and I also hope it brings much needed fellowship (and all that implies) to each of us

So what's your primary area interest? I personally enjoy horror in all its media forms and favor film. Here's a sampling of recent personal perusals

Dude! I didn't even know you had started the blog! I will totally participate! But I can't right now! But I will say that everybody should hit the Record button on the TIVO and catch the amazing Vincent Price marathon on TCM today (Friday, Aug 9)! Includes The Tingler, Tomb of Ligeia, The Mad Magician, and the Corman version of Tower of London! And a LOT more! Gotta go! My exclamation point key is stuck!

You have actually done it, a Zombies for Jesus blog... wow that should get some reaction!

It was a joy to meet you at Cornerstone, had a great time there. I have posted some photos and my wife Nancy's reflections on by blog.

Is there interest in an "Otaku Tour" of Japan?

If you want a review of "Night of the Living Dead" I might be able to conjure one up for you.

Warmly, Paul

PS You look great in that mask!

Hey, man!

You are brave. Most Christians that love horror movies (like me) don't admit it to other believers for fear of condemnation. Right on!

I have added your blog to my list of links on my own blog to the genre...
